In 2015, I created Cocobana Films (the street I grew-up on in SoCal), and started producing and writing my own work as a way to challenge myself and create new content for my reel. I quickly learned that I LOVED writing and seeing my ideas come to fruition. Although a lot of work and having to defeat the menacing writer's block from time to time, I've felt very creatively fulfilled by this new aspect of my artistic arsenal.
The first short, 'Power Play' is about the power play between a man and woman, the morning after a one-night stand. The film screened at the Asians on Film Festival in LA in March 2016.
The second short 'Peggy & The Plan B' is about a simple purchase of Plan B that spirals out of control. The film screened at the Big Mini Media Festival in BK in October 2015, the Hang Onto Your Shorts Film Festival in Asbury Park, NJ in April 2016 and the Laugh or Die Comedy Fest in Peoria, IL in June 2016.
Cocobana Films is currently in production for the comedic web series 'Meet Carole' with a talented bunch of Penn State Film Grads and hilarious NYC-based UCB/PIT-trained actor/improvisers. 'Meet Carole' is about a nostalgic, small-town girl who hits the big city, full of questionable encounters.
